Over Memorial Day Weekend in 1994, the doors to Chumash Casino first opened. Many Santa Ynez Chumash community members worked side by side with a handful of staff to welcome and serve guests, with perhaps only an inkling of the incredible legacy they were helping to shape for our tribe.
