A royal castle once fit for a king 🤴 Although not obvious today, these medieval ruins belong to what was once one of the North of England’s grandest estates. Once favoured by King Richard III, Sheriff Hutton Castle in Yorkshire was the headquarters of the Council of the North and from where the King governed the North of England.
