Repoussè is an ancient metal forming technique that allows me to sculpt with 24 gauge sterling silver sheet, which is pretty thin. Here I’m working on the initial puffing out of my form, working from the back and using a block of plasticine clay to support the silver. Not shown is all the annealing in between.
