I’m at @tucsonmuseumofart and the exhibit featuring these two ancestral vessels is called “Stories From Clay.” What I love about this collection is that it centers around ongoing research by academics and indigenous historians alike. Pieces like these can be studied with the oral and recorded histories of the respective cultures in mind, granting perspective into ancestral methodology and iconography.
