The Montgomery Police Department is conducting a Homicide Investigation following the death of McArthur Washington III, 31, of Montgomery. On Sunday, March 12, 2023, at about 10:40 p.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 4200 block of Hartford Street in reference to a subject shot. Washington III sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on scene. MPD charged Roderick Owens, Jr., 28, of Montgomery, with Capital Murder.
