Films Guild on Instagram: "Kyrie Irving created the character of Uncle Drew for Pepsi Max advertisements that aired in 2012. He got the idea for the Uncle Drew character after watching a YouTube video where an old man shows off at a skate park. The message behind “Uncle Drew” was important to Irving as well. The movie shows the importance of never forgetting why you love doing the things that you do, no matter how old you may be. 🏀 Uncle Drew (2018)"
