Needless to say the combination of the Pennsylvania and the NYC turned out to be one of the most disastrous mergers in history with each side hating the other. Two Penn Central trains at Congers, NY which is near the New Jersey border. Big Mike calls these eastbounds, but the line is a north-south route, so they are actually heading directional south. The station at the left of the going away shots is now a restaurant (The Station Kitchen and Bar) and gives today's railfan a chance to dine outdoors and watch CSX trains!
