Showing the way that I install and tram a new vise on the Rockwell milling machine. I am installing this Kurt Workholding DX6 that I snagged from KBC Tools & Machinery I like to snug the left nut on the vise and purposefully push the right front of the vise towards the mill. After that I use light taps from the hammer to bring it into alignment while the Starrett back button indicator sweeps the vise jaw. After some practice you can tram your vise pretty quickly. #machinist #machining #machinesh
