HMS Andromeda (F57) was a Leander-class frigate launched in 1967 and commissioned into the Royal Navy in 1968, participating in the Falklands War as a close escort for the carrier HMS Invincible. The ship was modernized in the late 1970s with Exocet missiles and the Sea Wolf missile system.
