In 1967, I made my Wiener Staatsoper debut singing the title role in Verdi’s Don Carlo. In 2017, I had the privilege of celebrating my 50 years in Vienna with my role debut as Rodrigo, Marquis de Posa in precisely the same opera. I’m eagerly looking forward to returning to my beloved Vienna to perform another two of my favorite roles, Simon Boccanegra in September, and Nabucco in January.
